Find Your Soul

10. March 2024

How do you find your soul? Is it the powerful water under the ice? What is the soul? The soul is your individual nature.

The other day I was staring at the frozen sea. A layer of ice, a bit of snow on top, no waves. You step on the ice and break through. Soon the ice will be thick and cross-country skiers will enjoy skiing on the frozen sea. There's deep water under the ice.

Mother Nature is generous. She gives us the sound of the waves, the smell of the salt water, the reflection of the sun on the water, seafood, and she gives us the ice. Mother Nature knows what she's doing. She shares the ocean with us, but does not give it away to us.

Experts have revealed a lot about the ocean. We don't know everything about it and have already lost a lot.

Your soul is the deep water of the sea within you. Have you recognized the uniqueness of your soul? Do you see and share your uniqueness?

Do you have a layer of ice covering your soul? Who or what created the ice? Did someone hurt you?

I've experienced and caused pain. With each suffering, the layer of ice became thicker. The thicker the ice, the less people with good or bad intentions could reach me. I too couldn't get through the ice to reach my soul.

There's heaviness beneath the ice

Have you ever watched a fisherman drill a hole in the ice to ice fish? As soon as the drill comes through the ice, water comes out of the hole.

Imagine getting through your layer of ice. This would lead to no longer suppressing the pain. The cause of the suffering comes to the surface. You accept the pain and what caused it. The next step is to let go of the pain. We call this healing.

I had achieved nothing in the first twenty years of my life. No interests. No talents. No calling. I completed an education because there was nothing else. I enjoyed going out and socializing. That was fine. Even that disappeared.

Is it true that I had nothing? Today I understand that the answer is NO.

My nothing was a lot. I held my head above the cold water as the ice formed and held me back. I pushed the pain to the bottom of the ocean for years.

Are you familiar with that? Did you do it like me and push the pain down? Pretending everything was fine?

A healer came into my life when I saw and understood that the layer of ice was taking over my life. An aspiring psychologist was my support for months. I got the help I needed. The therapy melted the ice around my soul.

We focused on relationships, work, family, money, health, and so on. I remember the time she said to me: You need a hobby. At that time, a colleague showed me a brochure from the Austrian Alpine Club in Vienna with a climbing hall in the city center. He followed his call, indoor climbing. His soul touched my soul. So I went to the climbing gym.

I took a class with a great climbing guide. When he saw me falling off in the same place over and over again, he said to me, "You're not thinking. Without thinking, you can't concentrate." He was right. Think for yourself - keep focus - move forward.

If you're at the point where you tell yourself that you've nothing for yourself, open yourself to the path of healing. The healers and teachers will find you.

I got into outdoor climbing, hiking and mountaineering. Passion, love and excitement. I was at one with what I was doing. I climbed the first 4000m peak in the French Alps a year after I started indoor climbing. Another year passed and I stood on the summit of Mont Blanc. That day I focused on taking one step at a time and placing my feet correctly for 22 1/2 hours. During these hours I reached the silence of the deep water within me.

I melted the ice through healing. I heard the call of a passion within me, mountain sports. While doing what I loved, I found stillness and discovered my soul. My soul, the endless space, the power, the place of infinite possibilities, the source of my love. The place that reveals who I am.

Could I continue to maintain the connection to my soul? No.

After I returned to Austria, I found myself in a void. The emptiness was the loss of my energy.

I continued healing and self-care in the mountains to regain energy. Then I was ready to make another decision. I quit my job and moved to Canada.

My soul took me to the French Alps and Canada. That was my journey.

Your soul is your individual self. Maybe it'll lead you to take a cooking class, write a children's book, sing in a church choir, or meditate daily. Whatever it is, it is your uniqueness.

It's been twenty years since I stood on the summit of Mont Blanc. After two decades, I'm still healing. My approach to healing has evolved as my needs have changed. I also discovered the healer in me and my mediumship.

Every time I reach my soul, the deep water within me, the mystical space, I love Petra a little more. I'm myself and in my power.

Durch die Heilung hörst du die Berufung in dir und findest deine Seele.
