Small-Town Talk Causes Pain
Gossip and rumors are far more serious than casual dinner conversation. The gossipers pushing on somebody else’s pain fuel these talks. When you push on pain, you cause more pain.
Folks who start or spread these talks cause suffering more than once. They’re hurting themselves and the people they gossip about.
Negative talk creates distance between people, poisoning any existing or potential relationship, and it causes distrust.
Negative thoughts and actions create negative energy. Plus, gossip is a waste of time in life. Time someone could use to look after themselves.
Taking part in gossip is unkind, hurtful, and can have serious consequences for mental health.
To anyone who’s been the target of gossip, I want to address you.
Honey, you can’t change people. But remember, you’ve the power to detach yourself from those with bad vibes who don’t mean well with you.
Be the best version of yourself. Genuinely kind, authentic, and happy. This is the way to attract the right people into your life.
Heal from your pain. Any pain. Do it because you’re worth it. You heal until you’re done.
Why? The people who talk pushed on a past or current experience or trauma in your life. You heal from the experience.
If the gossip has caused you more wounds, you go back on memory lane and heal from your childhood when people were disrespectful, made you feel unworthy, or bullied you at school.
Next, you’re aware of what gossip does to people. Therefore, you DON’T gossip. You show empathy and clearly express that you don’t get involved in harmful rumors.
If the clouds represent the negative town talks and the wind stands for the peeps with the bad vibes, you’re the sun above.
I count on you.
